It is time to start thinking about Christmas, especially advent! The Mitten Garland Advent Calendar is an excellent way to prepare for Christmas. Advent Calendars are fun because you can put each day up as the days tick by toward Christmas. I am starting mine now because of constant interruptions that slow my Christmas knitting way down.
The Kit I put together has red and white Cascade Heritage yarn, which is a fabulous fingering weight yarn for this project. You can augment the kit with gold or green colors that you have stashed or bits and babbles that you have left from sock projects or other projects that left you with yarn leftovers.
The pattern is included with this kit and contains a blank mitten chart so you can design you own.
I am planning a KAL for this project. We will start September 15th and conclude on October 15th. The mitts are minis so 1 month should be enough time to complete the Garland.
The KAL will be in person at a location to be determined. The KAL can also be attended on Zoom! If you miss the meeting, you can find it on YouTube because I am planning on recording it!
So, order you kit and join in the fun! Knit it this fall and enjoy it every Christmas from now on!
The Kit contains the following:
1 skein of Cascade fingering weight yarn in Red.
1 skein of Cascade fingering weight yarn in White.
1 pattern for the Mitten Garland by Kathy Lewinski.
