Soft neapolitan brown Corriedale wool that was locally raised by Linda McIntosh and processed into roving at the Fibers First mill in Post Falls Idaho. Since this wool is naturally multicolored it will spin into a heathered yarn. It is good quality very clean and ready to spin or felt with.

Corriedale is a popular wool for hand spinners. The Corriedale breed of sheep was developed by crossing Merinos with Lincoln sheep and the resulting Corriedales have wool with the softness of Merino and the longer staple length of Lincoln wool. It has a lovely springy crimp and is easy to spin making it an excellent choice for new spinners. It also felts exceptionally well and is a favorite of both wet and needle felters.

This roving is ready to spin without any additional preparation. It is a true roving and not a commercial top. You can learn about the tools Fibers First used to create this roving
