Cascade 220 Superwash® Merino Yarn is 100% superwash Merino wool and is similar in gauge and yardage to Cascade's classic 220 Superwash® but with the softness of Merino. Cascade 220 Superwash Merino Yarn is what we like to call a "workhorse" yarn. Workhorse yarns are ones that have a lower price point, can be washed and washed again, is super soft and comes in so many colors that you are bound to find one that you love.
It is wonderful to work with, and comes already wound and ready to go. If you don't have a project in mind, this is one of the best yarns to run to later in your stash. It is an all purpose project saver!

- Knitting gauge 20 stitches = 4" (10 cm)
- Suggested needle sizes US 6 to 7 (4.00–4.50 mm)
- Crochet gauge 13 to 16 single crochet stitches = 4" (10 cm)
- Suggested hook sizes US G to H (4.25–5.00 mm)
- Machine wash cold, tumble dry low
Tips for Machine Washing Superwash Wool:
- Use plenty of water so the fabric rubs against itself as little as possible.
- Put your garment in a mesh laundry bag to help reduce unnecessary friction.
- Use soap that is appropriate for wool! Superwash wool has been treated to be able to withstand the washing machine, but not the chemicals found in many laundry detergents. We have wool safe soap for sale here.
